Struggle so bad I start to shake an sweat perfusley, and turn the BPM back to 138, then pass out! (epic fail)
When I wake up, I'll take a trip to Burger King!
Wen in the que, I'll start thinking about a Mc Donalds Big Mac.
I love a double whopper, but deep down inside, I gotta have a big mac!

So I start to shake, then sweat, n pass out!

LIFES HARD.

WORD. I'd suggest eating a salad and drinking water for these symptoms. But that would be hypocritical of me. I wish they would bring the big tasty back. Those things are actually the BUSINESS!

Next thing i know it's 14:00 and i haven't eaten breakfast or lunch but have a pretty much done tune on my screen. I don't really know where the time goes. it's normally when i have to be doing something like uni work or finding a job or something... haha

I'm hearin' that!

Create a melody.
After a while make drums.
Then Sub
Then decide that melody is crap, and completely rearrange everything to a newer better melody, but with the same rootnotes perhaps.

Find some samples and some Accapella's and make a drum rack

Since I started all the way back from the Fruity Loops days, I'm used to starting with a beat, but sometimes, when I'm trying out a new virtual synth, I could start from a lead sound, a bass or even a pad.

Lately I'll start by going through my records and picking a bit of something out to make a melodic pad with, then a sample for maybe a atonal atmospheric bit to go with that or a second, sparkling high pad sound, then a basic beat and probably back to my records for a sample to turn into something like a lead or z3ta for a lead. Really lately I can't be bothered with heavy synthesis/sound design when there is a world of sounds on vinyl at thrift stores for the cost of the change lying about my car...throw them in the granular sampler and bam...wonderfulness abounds!

Well for me it depends on if I am working with pre made vocals or just going to try for a set style.

Working with vocals:
First off if I am working with vocals I will load a beat editor and just do a simple beat to get the tempo of the vocals and then once I have this I will then start to get some sounds that go with the vocals and try to get a little groove going to fit the vocals once this is there or there about's I will go back to the beat and work on it till I get the right 2step feel and sounds for the vocals, Then I will just copy one of the patterns and lower the octave to find a bass sound that fits then work on the bassline pattern.

Set style:
If I have a set style in mind I will hunt down the sounds/sample for the style I am working to achieve and then start to play around till I get something that's full and on the right track or get the sample I want to use and add stuff to back it up and get the elements there once this is done its time to jam and see what happens at the end of the night.

With both options there is no guaranty I will wake up the next day actually like what I done and not change most of it but I find that once I re opened the track start to listen to it I will always work on it more and before you know it you have a half worked tune that will be worth finishing.

I like to start with a good synth line or pad first, I have no trouble coming up with a good drum pattern in my head to match it.
On the other hand, if I have longer samples like a whole stanza of vocals, I prefer to start with drums to match them up well with the sample.

My method changes with each beat. It all depends on my mood and/or inspiration.
