Definitely not just you haha I recently just got so frustrated with my tracks (that I at one point loved) that I took my whole soundcloud down lol. I think stealth elf is right though it'll happen less the better you get so just finish them and post them all you never know who might dig them. I think those of us that have the capacity to hate our work turn out to be the best artists because we're always hungry for improvement though so it's probably a good quality to have.

Right on, it's usually the dudes that spam all day and think their tunes are the shit that never really improve or at least not as quick as producers like us. That hunger I have right now is just insatiable. I got some high hopes, now I just gotta do the damn thing. Would be cool to be a tuff jam, jazz n groove, etc of this garage era and inspire other producers years from now. one day at a time though.

So we'd rather believe in what we might get to be than in what we are now  .

I find I often hate a track shortly after I finish it and upload. However I've found that if I re-listen to those tracks a month or so down the line I fall back in love with them. I re-hear all the little details I'd forgotten about. If you listen to any kind of music too much you get sick of it, sometimes you just need a break. :)

Well, that happens to me as well. It`s like, when you start the single, you kinda like it and stuff, but later it seems weird, bad and so on.. I find it normal, It kinda motivates me to finish the track the same day when started.

I have this issue somethings too. The best way around it is to work on many projects at one time, so you can flick from project to project so every time you open another project its like... wow this is amazing!

I have never been able to work on two (or more) tracks at the time. I'm always afraid of losing the musical ideas that led me there in the first place. Although I guess if you're working on two (or more) different genres that might work, actually. Now I have to try it out sometime  .

Another advantage of this method is that if I start fresh and then reach for any of the same sounds I used on a vaulted track, I might wind up with essentially a better version of that track.

For sure, preset saving is a must! Get good at using your own sounds!

Hi. My advice is to take breaks while making a track. I do not mean long breaks of course, but going for a smoke, or a cup of coffee in complete silence. Then just get back and keep on going, and usually after a few minutes of that silence you will be able to evaluate what you are doing more clearly because you will be out of producing hypnosis stage it will also help to progress. At least in my case it does. I should mention of course that it all comes down to the idea, i mean if you are in some moody stage and you gonna take a break it will screw up the progress, so its all circumstantial. To be honest, i never knew a good artist who adored his own creations, usually big tracks are sound equivalent of some part of life or being in some deep mood, so lets say if you start making your track while your sad as hell about something and after those 100 times u mentioned u suddenly become happy for some reason, disliking your own thing is more than ok. You can never be objective about music (except of engineering) its impossible, especially when its your own creation.
