This *is* general discussion aint it? Personally I think the forum re-arrangement as made everything perfect, now we just gotta wait for traffic to pick up as the genre gathers speed. To be honest I'd enjoy this sweet placid calm while you can cos it won't be long before this forum is un-usable like DSF has become.

I've gone from only having something to reply to every few weeks to seeing new discussions I want to join in with pretty much every day, admittedly the feedback section isn't very busy but there are other places you can go for that sort of thing. I think right now this forum is more for appreciation and discussion than "How can I make my track better?" and that can only be a good thing imo.

I think OP means off-topic AKA SNH

I don't think this site needs a off-topic forum (if thats even what you mean). They have their place on busier sites, because they keep the other parts of the site cleaner, from people dicking about, thats what off topic forums are for imo. I don't think their are enough people visting this site to need one, and I don't think it would bring people in many people, and definitely not the sort of people you would like to attracted imo.

Gimme a chance to get my feet under the carpet, this isn't the only website I frequent you know.

Nah, but seriously I'll try jump in, in any topics that are of interest, I just dumped some posts in the tune forum, but I listened to a couple tunes that just didn't sit well with me, so instead of posting unnecessary tripe (ie; nah, not for me, sounds shit mate or something in similar vain) I'll just scroll past, and I've read some topics that are of interest mostly in this sub forum, but I'm way too incapable of putting a proper coherent response to, shall I shall return to in due course to offer my pennysworth.

End of the day, quality over quantity, why sacrifice summit that's working fine putting it in jeopardy for a little more talk, maybe if peeps had some self-restraint and weren't quick to hook up outside the site FB/Messenger/Other social means of interaction it'd give more emphasis of contributing to the greater wider audience instead of keeping it within a 1 on 1 convo or their exclusive FB friends list. Don't wanna sound a dick, cos I aint against that shit, but y'know just a thought for some peeps, go with the closer interaction for sure, but just don't forget the peasants in this world who're not as fortunate as others, ie; me.
it doesnt matter who's black and whos white, it's more of a matter of who's whack and who's tight

Hey, just stumbled across the site  General discussion is a must to get a community going imo!
Is there any forum guidelines here other than downloads?

I agree with the general discussion forum. Yeah a thread is good. But things get lost :)

Also an introduction section too

Intro sections are just a waste of space because nobody ever reads them except the people introducing themselves.

General discussion I can *kinda* get why people want it but I still don't see what we are lacking here. Most people on this site are producers or DJs so most of their talk will go in the relevant sections and anything left should go in here. It is a future garage site after all, I don't think there's any need to talk about lawnmowers or sparrows on here...

Intro sections are a way for people to make themselves feel a bit more welcomed, IMO.
It's kind of like the difference between just meeting someone for the first time and no one is there to say "Hey, Bob. Meet Tom... and Tom, meet Bob.". You sit awkwardly for a bit without that, and say things randomly. So, an intro section is a bit more like that person introducing you, instead of just trying to post for the first time out of no where on another thread.

As for general discussion, I think it's a good idea. I think we should welcome more people, aside from just thoughs producers and DJ's.

Just my two cents.

The fact is, the more you push the Forum trying to fill it with crap that nobody really wants to read but only involves themselves with 'for the sake of the community' the more stale the community will become... (With regards to 'Who are you feeling the most at the moment' threads)

I don't think there's a problem with it being a bit inactive, we're still a fairly small scene. As the scene progresses, as will the forum :) Until then, just enjoy the highly relevant posts ;)

But I must agree, making the forum a bit more appealing to those who aren't Producers or DJ's would be a good move... There's loads of Future Garage heads out there that just go to the parties, lock into the Sub FM shows, join the Facebook pages and talk about Future Garage to their friends who wouldn't know what to say on this forum, and it would be good to get them in here to introduce them to some of the more up-and-coming producers so it's easier for them to make an audience for themselves. That is how the scene will grow. So definitely, it's worth making the forum more applicable to 'civilians' as I call them lol

EDIT: Just read up and realise that I basically said the same thing as Stealth regarding relevant posts and scene growth  sorry dude!

 I can see what is being said positively about intro sections here but if you're posting a relevant post then you already have a subject to talk about and people will reply from there, nothing random. I guess the only reason people would want to introduce themselves properly is so they don't get disregarded as a muggin noob, but I think you can safely introduce yourself in your first relevant thread...

Whyrez just put it much better than I could XD totally on point, let's not push things too hard, the scene will grow of it's own accord.
