FGF Soundtrack Competition
• Write a score for the scene, you can use anything you want except:
- the original score of the film,
- samples from the film.
• When you're finished, PM/email your track (320 mp3 or wav) to blnd!, by the deadline (11th of July).
• All tracks will be uploaded anonymously to FGF Soundcloud (http://soundcloud.com/futuregarageforum) maybe YouTube too.
• Don't upload your tunes to anywhere please!
• The winner will be choosen by the members of FGF by voting, will be published on FGF and she/he can pick the next film.

I am so down for this but I feel it's going to be a bit fiddly without having a downloadable scene. I'd like to be able to watch the scene/peoples music together at the end but playing one then rushing over to the other to hit play is going to end up being out of sync.

I hear you. I ripped the MP4 video from the original upload and dropped it into Logic. Hopefully it'll render the video and audio together at the end.

Nice one.

I'm super excited for this comp. Not really a fan of the sample ones to be honest but this is right up my street!

Yay this is exactly my area :)

So this is just for fun? Winner gets to select the next film snippet.
Not promising anything cuz I have a lot of projects to still finish yesterday but when there's time I'll deff delve into this.

cool :)

I dont know, others mentioned the same thing; "just for fun" is often not enough, so it would be cool to make a compilation or something. The strong atmosphere and the filmic vibe guatranteed! :D I'm not a label owner, but if the the quality of the submissions is good enough, i think it would be a good idea to get them released. Perhaps i/we should ask around

Ableton's not letting me import the darn video. Does Reaper let you import video clips?

I was able to just drag and drop into an audio track, then right click and select view in video player/browser. Only in arrangement though.
