The question is rather vague.
Top news stories would be the Vancouver Canucks are up three games to two and about to play game 6 of the Stanley Cup; Canada Post is having rotating strikes; a prostitution case in Ontario; folks criticizing Canada's role in Libya; etc.
The economy is generally good. It's banks were not heavily involved in the sub-prime mortgages or market crash, so it wasn't hurt as badly by the down turn. Housing markets is remarkably strong, dollar is high, and it is getting lots of foreign investment as seems safer than the US, EU, or Japan right now.
Lots of things happen in Canada. Those of note would be on the news pages.
