Bitwig DAW...Any Beta testers out there?

Postby jgbrenn » Wed Apr 11, 2012 8:39 pm

Hey Guys,

I'm sort of interested in this DAW since I'm an Ableton user and this seems to add some killer features.

Does anyone know if beta testing is started or when it might start? I feel like it has been announced for a long time but there has been no updates since.

Just wondering if anyone has more info or speculation on Bitwig.

Sorry I can't help you with your question but I feel like mentioning another interesting new workstation being developed, AudioGL, which is taking on a 3-dimensional framework to making music.

Haven't heard a peep. On the mailing list and all I have received is an email saying thanks for signing up basically.

I don't think they've started yet.
Or perhaps I just haven't been asked to be a beta tester?
I know they're only letting a certain number of people become testers.

Ableton have made a couple of statements about Bitwig and they have all been positive. Apparently they are glad of the competition.

i hope bitwig gets released before ableton steals all the improvements they should have done ages ago instead of constantly "improving" the warp ting so i dont have to switch to ableton at all. ever.

Agreed this can only be a good thing that Live should now have direct competition. I'am too hoping Live introduces these missing features that Bitwig has as I've invested too much money to switch now.
